Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice
This course provides graduates with their first level of qualification required to enter the
massage industry. With a focus on therapeutic / relaxation massage, the course provides a
broad range of skills and practical modalities, such as Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue (Sports Massage), Aromatherapy and Reflexology, Client Physical Assessment, Anatomy & Physiology and a sound understanding of the history and principles of massage and the use of health industry-specific terminology.
The Student Clinic component of the course provides invaluable hands-on workplace experience in a
supervised setting, allowing students to develop confidence and integration of various techniques as they learn to assess and treat their clients.
Upon successful completion of Certificate IV in Massage Therapy Practice, graduates may register as a full member with a national massage association, obtain professional indemnity / public liability insurance and commence work.
