Diploma of Remedial Massage
The Diploma of Remedial Therapy provides graduates with the highest-level industry
qualification, and a broad array of career options. Graduates may also apply to Private Health
funds for provider numbers, allowing clients to claim rebates for remedial treatments.
Remedial Massage Therapists draw on a wide range of specialised techniques to treat specific musculoskeletal problems and soft tissue injuries, and to assist in the prevention and management of injuries. These techniques include the stimulating or sedating effects of Remedial Massage, such as facilitated stretching, lymphatic drainage, deep tissue techniques, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, mobilisation and so much more.
With a focus on outcome-based massage, students acquire a wide range of practical and professional skills. This allows them to individually assess each client, develop hypotheses and treatment strategies, and provide remedial massage or implement a series of treatments. Participants gain the necessary knowledge and expertise to develop professional relationships and networks, and to confidently communicate with other natural therapists and health professionals.
